SM OSC Transport

A simple but effective Ableton Live remote control, consisting of a m4l device and a Liine Lemur template. The included Lemur template is optimized for the resolution of an iPhone 13 mini, but it’s very easy to change this setting through the Lemur Editor desktop app. With a minimum of effort it is also possible to adapt the m4l device to work together with other systems, like TouchOSC.

  • Easy OSC setup: no additional app or daemons needed
  • Play – Stop – Rec – Loop (on/off) – Cue (set/delete) – Prev (cue) – Next (cue) – Metro (on/off)

How to setup:

  • Drop the SM OSC Transport m4l device into an audio track (I personally prefer a return track) of your project, which you can eventually save as a template.
  • Be sure the PC/Mac running Live and your phone/pad are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Write down the IP Address of your PC/Mac (if you don’t know how to do it use this guide).
  • Load the Lemur template on your phone/pad over Wi-Fi or using iTunes/Music app.
  • On your phone/pad access the Lemur App settings and write the PC IP Address in the OSC 0 Host field, as shown in the figure.
  • The Lemur app and m4l device must have the same port number.

If that doesn’t work, try following this video.
